The
'ITT primary languages' project is a shared initiative
between the Teacher Training Agency of England,
the Ministère de l'Education Nationale, the
Baden-Württemberg Government in Germany and
the Ministerio de Educación in Spain, supported
by CILT, the National Centre for Languages. The
Project has brought together higher education institutions
in the four countries with the common purpose of
providing teacher training for the primary sector,
which includes an element of teaching a foreign
language. Each university has been partnered with
institutions in the partner countries, allowing
the exchange of ideas between students and trainers
as well as the opportunity to spend a period abroad
in the partner country as part of the training.
